- Flying Apollo 13 in 1970, 1/10th of a Meg of memory was in the computer
running the Apollo command module computer!

- Sample of kids doing alphabet book using their bodies to make the letters
- Start small, do something in your classroom that helps you work better,
not harder
- Veteran Interviews, History Comes Alive, The Soldier train, Rex talking
about passing fried chicken through the windows of the train from caring
citizens in Newton, KS
- Logic Audio software for education is $99, platinum version is >$1000,
artists like Peter Gabriel and Herbie Hancock use it, need any MIDI
keyboard, can use $399 audio input box for input/output (USB powered)
- Scholastic
- Scholastic Reading Initiative looks like STAR test but it also matches
kids to books to read - www.scholastic.com/sri and ReAch (Read Achieve)

- tracks student progress, also have a Scholastic Management Suite (like
AR testing) - 30 question bank, students by default get 10 at a time,
questions are recycled (I don't think AR does this)

- Saw a wonderful presentation on iMovie in the Kindergarten classroom: teacher
used iPhoto and iMovie to take digital photos and movies throughout the year
of activities, used iDVD to make an end-of-year DVD for all students in the
class
